Rebecca Gudeman is a senior attorney specializing in adolescent health care. She directs NCYL’s adolescent reproductive health project and oversees the project’s website, www.teenhealthrights.org.  Rebecca is author of numerous articles and papers on consent and confidentiality law and trains nationally on these issues.  She earned her B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from Harvard University in 1990, and her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 1994. She also holds a Master in Public Administration (1999) from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.  Prior to joining NCYL, Rebecca was a Professor of Law at the Universdad de las Americas in Mexico City and volunteered with Ashoka, helping the organization select its Latin American fellows.   She began her career with the Children’s Rights Project at Public Counsel in Los Angeles, where she created Public Counsel’s Teen Legal Clinic program. The program was one of the first school-based legal assistance programs in the country.  In 1997, she was named the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Child Advocate of the Year.
