March 28, 2006 - The expert Panel (www.braampanel.org) appointed to monitor efforts to improve Washington state's foster care system has released its first monitoring reporting. The Panel found that the State has failed to complete more than 70 percent (32 of 45) of the "action steps" to be completed by the end of last year.

May 11, 2006 - National Center for Youth Law Senior Attorney Bill Grimm and Skadden Fellow Bryn Leland Martyna have been awarded the Voices for Children Award by the Children’s Alliance, a statewide children’s advocacy organization in Washington state.

Feb 3, 2006 - The expert panel (www.braampanel.org) appointed to monitor the implementation of the Braam v. State of Washington settlement has released its long-awaited Implementation Plan for reforming Washington State's foster care system.
