

9th Circuit Agrees to Hear NCYL's Appeal in Las Vegas Foster Care Case October 9, 2008 - The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has agreed to hear an appeal by the National Center for Youth Law (NCYL) of a recent U.S. District Court ruling denying its motion for class certification in Clark K. v. Willden.
May 9, 2007 - A U.S. District Court judge in Las Vegas has ruled that the plaintiffs can proceed with the majority of claims in a lawsuit filed by NCYL to reform the child welfare system in Clark County, Nevada.
Aug 30, 2006 - The National Center for Youth Law (NCYL) filed a class action lawsuit against Nevada Gov. Kenneth C. Guinn, state Health and Human Services Director Michael Willden, and Clark County officials for failing to protect the health and safety of children in Clark County's child welfare system.
